WIPCE 2025 - Terms and conditions


Acknowledgement

The Terms and Conditions contain the rules and restrictions to which each Delegate must agree before purchasing Registration to WIPCE 2025. Each Registration is a contract between:

a) the Purchaser and any Delegate replacing the Purchaser, (where a sale or Transfer from the Purchaser has been authorised and is valid) and;

b) the organisation(s) with the legal and/ or contractual rights (i) to sell and/ or issue Registrations to a Conference, and (ii) to grant access the Venue for the purposes of attending the Conference, subject to the Registration being valid.

The Conditions set out below contain the rules and restrictions around both the purchase of and use of that Registration. Registrations processed by the Hosts are sold on behalf of World Indigenous Peoples’ Conference on Education (WIPCE) responsible for their event WIPCE 2025 and are subject to the Terms and Conditions. Registrations purchased via the WIPCE 2025 website (https://wipce2025.com/) are nonrefundable and cannot be Transferred without written notification, and within the timeframe given in the Cancellation Policy. By processing their online Registrations, Delegates agree to the Terms and Conditions listed here.

Process to confirm your online Registration

Accepted forms of payment: Debit Card, Credit Card, Bank Transfer, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments will be processed in NZD.

Instalment plans available with groups of 10 or more.

On the completed submission of the Registration form, an email acknowledging all items reserved will be sent, along with an invoice statement detailing payments made and/or outstanding.

Instalment payments must be paid by the required date.

Registration processed under Bank Transfer will not be confirmed and remains tentative only until paid.

No Registration is considered confirmed without full payment of conference fees. Once full payment has been received, an email confirmation and a receipted invoice will be sent.

Failure to pay any account upon the due date of payment entitles WIPCE 2025 to suspend all group members account and to cancel the Registration. WIPCE 2025 shall be entitled to recover from the customer all costs arising from administration costs.

WIPCE reserves the right to cancel outstanding Registrations if payment is not received within 30 days of invoice.

Cancellation policy

No refunds for cancelled Registrations, except where required by New Zealand Law. However, Registrations are Transferrable, at no extra charge.

All Cancellations and Transfer Requests must be submitted to wipce2025registrations@aut.ac.nz in writing with your Account Number received. All Cancellations will be reviewed, and any final decisions will be at the discretion of WIPCE.

Transfer Request – Paid Registrations can be Transferred to another member of the same organisation. The request for this must be received no later than 72 hours before the conference starts.

Neither WIPCE or the Host, will be liable for any associated costs, expenses or loss (including, without limitation, any indirect and/ or consequential loss, such as for travel to the Venue or any accommodation costs).

Force Majeure

WIPCE shall not be responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations in connection with the Conference ‘WIPCE 2025’, to the extent such delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as fire, flood, industrial disturbances, government orders, acts of God, acts of terrorism, the availability of the Venue or other similar causes which do not arise from any fault on the part of WIPCE or its subcontractors. If any such events occur, WIPCE may postpone or cancel the Conference ‘WIPCE 2025’ by notice to all attendees.

In the event of cancellation of the event, WIPCE will provide a refund of the Conference fee paid by attendees.

COVID-19

We continually review our responses to COVID-19 in line with Government Policy and industry best practice. In the event of any changes to WIPCE 2025 relating to COVID-19, we will immediately notify our registered delegates, including any cancellation of the event.

Photography and Filming

For promotional purposes, there will be a professional photographer and video production taking place during WIPCE 2025. Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded can advise by email to wipce2025@aut.ac.nz prior to the event. By registering for WIPCE 2025 you authorise WIPCE 2025 to take photos at the event. You agree that WIPCE is the owner of copyright, and photographs, that it may use the content as required by them.

Websites and Links

The WIPCE 2025 website may link to other websites and networking tools provided for the convenience of the users. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which WIPCE 2025 takes no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any website linking to this website.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Delegates are encouraged to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions, loss of registration and accommodation fees through cancellation. WIPCE do not cover individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of WIPCE 2025 or for theft or damage to belongings.

Liability

Neither WIPCE, nor the Host, or the Organising Committee (all members collectively known as 'the Organisers') of WIPCE 2025, will accept any responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by participants in the course of the conference. Nor will they take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property that occurs during the conference or associated activities.

WIPCE assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in transmission or line failure to this website, and reserves the right to change details on this website at any time.

Registration purchases are subject to the above Terms and Conditions. Please read the Conditions carefully. By processing your Registration on the website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Admission to the Venue will only be authorised upon presentation of a valid and paid Registration.

Admission to the Venue will be refused to any person noticeably under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any behaviour-modifying substance, or to any person behaving, or considered by any Authorised Person likely to behave, violently, harmfully or in a manner contrary to public order and/or safety. Admission will also be refused to any person who attempts to bring any Prohibited Item into the Venue.

WIPCE nor the Organising Committee (all members collectively known as 'the Organisers') of WIPCE 2025 cannot accept any liability for changes in Venue(s), dates and programme if such changes are caused or results from the act, default or omission of any person other than an employee or agent of the Organisers.

WIPCE nor the Organising Committee (all members collectively known as 'the Organisers') of all Conferences cannot accept any liability for death, injury, any loss, cost or expense suffered by any person (including accompanying persons, partner, or attendant caregivers), if such a loss is caused or results from the act, default or omission of any person other than an employee or agent of the Organisers. In particular, the Organisers cannot accept liability for losses arising from the provision or non-provision of services provided by hotel companies or transport operators. Nor can the Organisers accept liability for losses suffered by reason of war including threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activities, natural disasters, weather, fire, flood, drought, disease pandemic, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown within any premises visited by delegates and/ or partners in connection with the conference.

Travel insurance is highly recommended at time of registering.

Opinions expressed by authors in their abstracts and during their presentations do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Host.

The Organisers are not able to guarantee that any particular person will appear as a speaker or panellist.
